About our Founder
Terita Kalloo is an Intellectual Property Attorney at Law based in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, with over 12 years of legal practice. Through her practice, “Terita Kalloo Law,” she specializes in IP protection, management, litigation, and enforcement. She has partnered with Intellect Management Services, a Barbadian company with 20 years of experience in the IP field, to provide comprehensive IP Management services across the Caribbean region, including IP Valuations, Audits, and Due Diligence. Terita Kalloo Law represents international law firms, companies and individuals worldwide for all IP-related services throughout the Caribbean region.
As part of her commitment to IP education and accessibility, Terita hosts a monthly pro-bono IP clinic, offering guidance on intellectual property issues to those who might not otherwise have access to such specialized legal expertise.
Education & Certifications
Terita’s academic credentials include:
- Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of the West Indies
- Legal Education Certificate from Hugh Wooding Law School
- Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property Law and Management from the University of Strasbourg, France
- Currently pursuing PhD research in IP Management at the University of Strasbourg, France
She is a WIPO certified trainer at the National Intellectual Property Training Centre of Trinidad and Tobago and serves as a Certificate Lecturer for the EPO-CEIPI Master’s program in IP-Management.
Leadership Positions & Professional Memberships
Terita is a Co-Chair of the International Affairs Committee of the International Institute of IP Management. She is also a Director of the Innovation Association in Trinidad and Tobago, a member of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago and is a member of the Fashion Law Committee of ASIPI (InterAmerican Association for Intellectual Property).
